The Writing on the Wall Review

The symbols are in 3D, cool. If only Skye had tried stacking them in layers, maybe we could have found this out sooner. According to some parts of the internet, this whole city-serum thing is supposed to tie into the Inhumans plotline. Now, I haven't read the Marvel comics, so I don't know anything about Inhumans other than that they're some sort of human-alien crossbreed. Now, that would explain precisely everything that's going on if there's a secret city of half-aliens somewhere in China or thereabouts.

Have they not told everybody about the symbols? As the Doctor, I thought Jemma would know about whatever's happening to Coulson, but apparently it's being kept to him, Skye, and May. I'm not sure what Trip knows, but there was that scene in Shadows where he was helping Skye with her research. Anyways, I guess know Coulson's explaining the whole thing to them. Or at least I hope he is, it can be hard to function on a mission when you don't know what the mission is. They could easily overlook evidence if they don't know it's related.

Is Ward trying to get on Coulson's good side? I mean, I can't think of anything other reason why he would beat and tie up Hydra's second-in-command. If he was a Hydra agent, why we he attack their guys? The only reasons are if he's trying to redeem himself or Hydra wants him to trick Coulson into thinking he's turned over a new leaf. But I can't imagine them sacrificing their number 2 to do that. They'd probably give Coulson a smaller prize, it'd be no less convincing. I guess it's also possible Bakshi did something to piss Ward off, and Ward decided to turn him over to Coulson. However, he did offer that face-to-face, so I don't think that's it. Unless, of course, Ward was already angry when he walked into that bar.
